Pay: $25.50 – $26.25/hr
Shift: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

We are hiring experienced Shipfitter Journeymen in Norfolk, VA to support critical shipyard production work. The Shipfitter Journeyman role involves structural fitting, installation, blueprint execution, and adherence to all shipyard safety protocols. Candidates must bring strong trade proficiency and the ability to work efficiently in a high-tempo marine environment.


Responsibilities

• Perform shipfitting tasks including installation, fitting, structural alignment, cutting, burning, and associated trade duties.
• Execute work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and detailed instructions.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and shipyard equipment to complete job assignments.
• Work collaboratively with shipyard teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Follow OSHA, company, and shipyard safety protocols at all times.


Requirements

• Relevant shipfitting experience at a journeyman level.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout information, and trade-specific documents.
• Proficiency with shipfitting tools and equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass background screening and drug testing.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (climbing, lifting, confined spaces, heights).
