Welcome Aboard: John Polowczyk is Your New VSRA President

Virginia Ship Repair Association is excited to announce that our new President, retired Rear Admiral John Polowczyk, has officially began his tenure with the Association on Monday, August 11th.

Mr. Polowczyk’s extensive experience, from his distinguished 33-year career in the U.S. Navy to his leadership of the White House Supply Chain Stabilization Task Force, makes him exceptionally qualified to lead our Association. We are confident his vision and expertise will be invaluable in advocating for our member companies and advancing the interests of the ship repair industry.

He succeeds Bill Crow, and we want to express our deepest gratitude to Bill for his thirteen years of outstanding leadership. We appreciate his continued support in ensuring a smooth transition through the end of the year.

Mr. Polowczyk shared his enthusiasm for his upcoming role, saying, "I am humbled to be starting my journey with Virginia Ship Repair Association and turning over the President role from my longtime friend and mentor Bill Crow. VSRA has been in good hands with Bill Crow at the helm. I look forward to working with and for our members. VSRA has an important mission and proud tradition of 'The Strength Behind the Fleet'."

We encourage our member companies to join us in warmly welcoming Rear Admiral Polowczyk to the Virginia Ship Repair Association as he embarks on this new chapter. We are confident that his leadership will be instrumental in continuing VSRA's mission to serve and advance the interests of the ship repair industry.
