Contracts Committee Launches New Meeting Format

Beginning with the February 5, 2015 meeting, the Contracts Committee monthly meetings have been restructured to address both cognizant contractual issues of interest to our members and business advisory topics.  In this regard, the February meeting included a presentation on “Small Business Administration (SBA) Certification Programs:  A Quick Snapshot” by Mr. John D. Veal, Jr., Supervisory Business Opportunity Specialist with the SBA's Richmond District Office.  To access his presentation, please Click HERE.  In addition, Steve Burke and Bob Korroch, corporate attorneys at Williams Mullen, spoke on entity selection, and how choice of entity can have long-term consequences for businesses. Their presentation also included an overview on how the form of the entity is addressed in small business certification programs.
