Join our System Integration (SI) team whose accomplishments make a positive impact supporting the U.S. Navy and national defense! We are seeking an Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Project Manager for fleet modernization. The selected candidate will be supporting our Systems Integrations department managing installation projects on various contracts such as Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Naval Information Warfare Center and Naval Surface Warfare Center by communicating with various government and civilian customers, providing direct on various shipboard projects and processing change orders. AIT Project managers will be required to travel to various shipyards and military bases located around or out of the country. Per diem available based on location when on travel, travel and lodging expenses are covered by the company. #LI-MJ1
Essential Job Responsibilities
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Must have 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
Must have experience successfully executing complex project change order management.
Must have experience forecasting and managing complex multi-system EACs
Must have experience managing complex POA&Ms and incorporating revolving schedule/production changes over project lifetime.
Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD Final Secret Clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain base access credentials.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Experience working SPAWAR/NIWC C4I contracts preferred
Knowledge with structure and interpretation of NAVSEA system drawings preferred
Shipboard/Submarine C4I technical experience preferred
Having a current or active secret clearance or above a plus.
May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
