Receiving Specialist (Matl Dist Handling Support 3) - 4346

Our facilities department is looking for a Receiving Specialist to overlook the receipt of incoming orders of equipment, tools and supplies which averages 15 – 30 parcels a day. Receiving Specialist will then be responsible for sorting martial for multiple government contracts while maintaining records and verifying material against packing slips. #LI-MJ1 What you will do • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data. • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials; prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; routes materials to destinations. What you must have • Must have High School Diploma/Equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. • Must have experience receiving parcels and materiel in a professional capacity. • Must have experience inputting data into a database, spread sheet or related system to track and maintain records. • Must have familiarity navigating a logistics database or similar system. • Must have excellent written and verbal communication. • Must be organized and able to maintain multiple projects at one time. • Must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred: Bonus points for... • Shipping and invoice experience preferred. • Candidates with current or past forklift certification a plus. • Past experience with CostPoint system a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift forty pounds, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes and work in high heat/cold environments, aboard ships, under industrial conditions, in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme weather. Ability to operate portable power tools. Work may involve climbing and working on ladders.
