The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager directly reports to the Executive Vice President regarding company compliance with applicable Naval and marine industry quality assurance standards, principles and practices. The QA Manager supervises assigned QA personnel working on-site to conduct inspections and maintain standards during all installation and repair tasks. The QA Manager meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating project task test and inspection requirements; preparing cost budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. The QA Manager develops quality assurance plans and project task QA Workbooks IAW 29 CFR 1915 and NAVSEA Standard Items by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories. The QA Manager also validates quality process control procedures by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures. The QA Manager coordinates with assigned Program Managers and Foremen to maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer non-conformance reports and complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods. The QA Manager prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations. The Quality Assurance Manager shall have: a) Minimum of six (6) years’ experience with quality assurance and inspection for maintenance, repair, testing, installation, modification, upgrade or alteration of naval vessels. b) Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with habitability systems, subsystems, equipment, components, furnishings and spaces. c) Working knowledge of Naval and industry quality assurance standards, principles and practices. d) Bachelor’s degree in related field. Desired Certifications/Qualifications: NBPI NACE CIP Level II SSPC QCS QP-1 NDT Level II/III VT (IAW NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271)
