Basic Purpose and Function:
The Business Development and Sales Coordinator is responsible for optimizing our business, sales, and marketing strategies related to and in line with FMS brand identity. This individual will be asked to cover assignments for all FMS divisions on an as needed basis. This individual understands and leverages department, office, and other resources to support and promote FMS’s market presence related to name recognition, brand awareness and revenue growth.
Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with mastery level PowerPoint skills).
An aptitude to learn firm-specific programs and software.
Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate.
Basic data review, processing, time management, communications, decision making, presentation, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Proficiency in the Italian language, preferred.
Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
Experience with Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign preferred.
Proven ability to understand target audiences in ways that will lead to positive impressions of the company.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or another Business discipline, preferred.
Five (5) to Seven (7) years of direct business marketing and sales experience required.
Major Responsibility (Functions/Duties):
Develops marketing strategies and campaigns to communicate company information and drive qualified business opportunities.
Monitors and communicates relevant activity of local competitors to Senior Management and other Business Development team members.
Prepares internal and external technical and sales presentations.
Leads the sales and business development team(s) with the production of routine emails, quotes, scheduling, and other clerical items as needed.
Builds strategic relationships and partners with key industry leaders, agencies, and vendors.
Ensures successful planning, execution, and measurement of trade shows, and knowledge-based events that have business development as a core focus.
Budgets and tracks associated costs and providing oversight and reconciliations of business development, marketing, and sales funding requests.
Acts as a point of contact for the Business Development and Sales Department to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the information that is being distributed both internally and externally.
Maintains and presents company literature as necessary.
Conveys FMS’s vision, goals, and product line information on company website and social media platforms, and ensures the content is valuable and engaging to our target groups.
Collaborates with other Fincantieri companies to ensure synergy and partnership opportunities.
Assists with all strategic planning for the Business Development, Sales and Marketing department as required.
Develops presentations and business proposals for the Business Development and Sales Department as required.
Deploys successful marketing campaigns and owns the process from ideation to execution.
Experiments with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels such as content creation, content curation, publicity, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis.
Prepares and monitors the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocates funds wisely.
Oversees and approves marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures.
Measures and provides Senior Leadership with progress reports on the performance of marketing campaigns, and tracks against intended goals.
