Logistics Support 2 Location: Newport News, VA, US, 23607 Company: HII's TSD Job Description The primary duties of the job will be driver support for the RCOH, CEMAT, and ESU programs located in Newport News, VA. The position entails transporting of material, equipment, and tools to and from jobite, warehouse, and vendors. Essential Job Responsibilities Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product. Minimum Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. • Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. • Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders. • Must have a valid VA drivers License with clean driving record. • Must be forklift certified. • Must have prior logistics driving experience in an industrial shipboard environment. • Must have basic computer skills, and be able to work with databases. • Must be detail orientated. • Needs to be able to work independently and follow directions. • Must be US citizen. • Ability to obtain Rapidgate access badge and Confidential security clearance. • Preferred Requirements • CDL pereferred but not required.
