What you will do
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
Manages a team of 6 - 13 technicians in ventilation assessment and repair aboard US Navy Aircraft Carriers.
Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.
Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
What we are looking for
Must have 4 years’ relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years’ relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years’ relevant progressive experience. Candidate must have base access and have or be eligible for a minimum of CONFIDENTIAL clearance.
Must be familiar with shipboard ventilation systems, including electric motor sizing, cooling coils heater and re-heater coils, ventilation system cleanliness requirements, and space configuration.
Must be able to troubleshoot, identify, and document equipment deficiencies.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), and knowledgeable with inputting production support information into a database or related tracking application.
Must have skills necessary to write and present technical reports.
Must be able to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date and maintain them through out employment
Must be able to obtain and maintain at least a DoD confidential security clearance and maintain it through out employment.
Must be a U.S. citizen.

Direct maintenance experience on US Navy Aircraft Carriers preferred.
Experience and working knowledge of Navy ship configuration (space numbering and ventilation system identification) is a plus.
Experience overseeing shipboard assessment & repair teams a plus.
Experience preparing and submitting work orders or purchase requests for production components and/or parts base on inventory requirements a plus.
Job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 50 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
