Accountant’s Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Help ensure CAPEX projects follow the company’s policy Assist operations with preparation of CAPEX requests Monitor cost and schedule variances of CAPEX projects Perform GL account reconciliations and prepare journal entries in a wide variety of areas (insurance, rent, vendors, etc.) Assist in requests from external parties, to include auditors, grants from local municipalities and insurance brokers Sample and review coding on indirect purchase orders Research and analyze actual to budget variances Utilize accounting theory to analyze purchase order accrual Approve non PO and AP invoices
