Pay Range- $46.72-$61.48 Description/Comment: Position Summary / Responsibilities Works to maintain optimum levels of health, reduce absenteeism, reduce medical disabilities, and contain medical costs. Recommends medical and health policies and preventative measures of eliminating or minimizing industrial injuries and diseases. Evaluates workers' compensation cases and provides medical consultation on temporary and permanent disability cases. Participates in the formulation and administration of the organization's health care programs. May collaborate on related matters such as safety programs, industrial hygiene and health promotion programs. Will act as the lead Physician Assistant and provide leadership direction and technical counsel to less experience members of the Medical staff. May provide employee health services to one or more operating facilities in the organization. Leveling Factors: Knowledge, Skills and Ability Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Problem Solving Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Discretion/Latitude Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results. Impact Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives. Liaison Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Basic Qualifications Must have 5-7 years of PA experience. Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and a licensed Physician Assistant and be NCCPA certified.
