Project Manager

Essential Roles and Responsibilities for the Project Manager Position: Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and support bid and proposal-related activities Understand project scope, contractual requirements, and contractual deliverables Lead project initiation and planning activities Ensure resources are available based on divisional capabilities and capacity Create a clear and concise project plan to monitor and track project progress Develop project schedule Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop tactics to avoid or minimize risk in execution Monitor and analyze project performance using appropriate project management tools; this includes performance of both direct labor and subcontractors, and readiness of material to support production Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks When necessary, initiate and implement corrective measures Create and maintain comprehensive reports documenting project progress Execute internal and external meetings; monitor internal and external project communication Manage relationships between customers and stakeholders Report and escalate to upper management as and when needed Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget Prepare monthly EAC Workbooks Prepare monthly Program Reviews Record project Lessons Learned Execute project close out activities Minimize company risk and exposure on the project and strive to maximize profit Support Divisional Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives such as Just-Do-It’s (JDIs), Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs) or CPI Projects. Qualifications: Must demonstrate experience in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects in a collaborative environment Must demonstrate leadership, team building, and cross-functional team management skills Must demonstrate time management skills and a dedication to on-time delivery within budget Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Must possess problem-solving skills Must be proficient using Microsoft Office and demonstrate experience with Microsoft Project Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years of directly related experience Project Management Professions (PMP) or equivalent preferred
